The Adoption visa (subclass 102) is a permanent visa which allows an adopted child who lives outside Australia to come to Australia and live with their adoptive parents. In addition to children already selected, children who are in the process of being adopted can also qualify for this visa.

The adoptive parent usually lodges the visa application on behalf of the child. The applicant needs to complete Form 47CH – Application for Migration to Australia by a Child, while the sponsor needs to
complete Form 40CH – Sponsorship for a Child to Migrate to Australia.
