Australian Immigration
Australia to allow entry to parents of citizens and residents
Australia will classify parents of citizens and permanent residents as immediate family and allow them to travel to the country, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said.
As part of the new announcement, New South Wales will allow fully vaccinated parents of Australian citizens and permanent residents to enter Sydney from 1 November.
Mr Morrison also said that the Premiers and Chief Ministers of other Australian States had been advised to work towards ensuring immediate family members of Australian citizens and residents can travel to Australia safely.

NSW to remove quarantine for international travellers
New South Wales has announced that it will abolish quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated international travellers arriving in the State from next month.
During the first phase of the plan, returning Australian citizens, permanent residents and their families will be exempted from having to quarantine upon Australian migration, provided they are fully vaccinated.
Under the new scheme, there will be no cap on the number of fully vaccinated Australians returning to New South Wales.

Business leaders and the community in New Zealand celebrated the government’s decision to allow critical workers and their families a pathway to permanent residency in the country, following the announcement of the new, one-off residency visa by Immigration Minister Kris Faafoi.
As part of the new visa, an estimated 165,000 temporary work visa holders and their families would be fast-tracked for permanent residency in New Zealand.

Five in-demand jobs in Prince Edward Island!
While many jobs were negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, some jobs saw an upturn in demand over the same period. Here are five such jobs that are in demand in Prince Edward Island during the pandemic:
1. Health care jobs
Employment in the health care sector in PEI had a good period over the pandemic, as the province grew more and the population aged further. Moreover, a shortage of registered nurses, psychiatric nurses and licensed practical nurses also helped employment in this field.
2. Management jobs
Plenty of workers in this field saw increased demand during the pandemic, owing to huge construction and renovation projects in the Canadian province. Demand for these skilled individuals is expected to grow further as the population grows in PEI.
3. Business, finance and administration jobs
Administrative officers also enjoyed an increased demand in PEI, as an increasing number of workers in this field benefitted from employment opportunities in the educational and health care services sectors.
4. Natural and applied sciences and related jobs
Workers in this field had the benefit of working from home, which largely stifled any negative impacts on employment during the pandemic. A growing number of businesses shifting to online operations also helped individuals in this field enjoy a fruitful period in their employment during the pandemic.
5. Education jobs
School teachers in PEI also saw an increased demand during the pandemic, as lockdowns forced schools to shift to online teaching.
