Business migration opportunities rising in regional AU: CBA
Australia’s largest banking group Commonwealth Bank has
highlighted the growing business opportunities in regional Australia, which can
benefit from business migration to Australia.
According to the CBA, the pandemic-enforced lockdown all over
Australia resulted in Australians flocking to regional areas and territories,
which has given rise to business opportunities in these areas.
Regions such as Northern Queensland and Byron Bay can now
benefit from greater regional activity and increased cash flow.

Slow skilled migration to Australia creating tech skills gap
A reduced number of skilled migrants to Australia during the
coronavirus pandemic has created a significant skills gap in the country’s tech
sector.
According to a new report by RMIT and Deloitte Access Economics,
Australia is facing a $10 billion economic growth deficit and will need 156,000
new tech workers over the next four years.
The report says that at the moment, the data analysis skills of
Australia’s local workforce is not at the level required by employers, and that
upskilling and skilled migration can help meet employers’ needs.

Canada invited 27,332 onshore skilled immigrants to apply for

The draw was held on February 13 in which Immigration, Refugee

This round of the draw also had the lowest Comprehensive Ranking

NZ to allow international students to return in 2021
The New Zealand government has announced plans to welcome
international students back to the country ahead of the beginning of the new
semester.
Under this plan, international students who are stranded outside
NZ due to border closures will be allowed to return to New Zealand in stages.
The first stage will welcome 1,000 international students in April.
Only previously enrolled students who intend to return to NZ to
resume their studies will be allowed to enter NZ under this plan, as the
government aims to re-energise the international education sector, which
generated $4.5 billion annually before the pandemic.

Bosnia
EU commissioner warns Bosnia for better migration management
Ylve Johansson, the European Union's migration commissioner, has
warned Bosnia to manage its migration problems better if it wants to stay on
course for EU membership.
Most of the 9,000 migrants stuck in Bosnia are concentrated in
the capital city Sarajevo and in the country's northwestern corner.
Johansson said the EU had provided Bosnia with more than 88
million Euros since 2018 and that the country should share the burden of its
migrant crisis equally across the country.
